Reunion Tip

Never import a GEDCOM file directly into your Family file !

Create a new Family file called "Temp" and import the GEDCOM file into it.

Then have a look at the records and "get a feel" for the content and how well it's been put together.

Do any necessary corrections / alterations to this file and then add a General Source to all records by selecting [Change] -> [Set General Sources …] , then check "Who = "All People" and complete the extra fields (including where you got this GEDCOM file).

Then exit out of this Family file, open your Family File and create a backup by selecting [File] -> [Save A Copy…] and call this copy "Family file backup - date".

Then select [File] -> [Import/Export] -> [Import Reunion Family File …] and import the "Temp" family file you created earlier.
